Santa came to visit children in the Nelson Community on Sunday. Children decorated cookies and wrote letters to Santa while drinking hot chocolate and eating a cinnamon rolls as they waited for Santa to arrive. As many children know, visiting Santa can be a bit frightening. Sage and Scarlett Himmelberg, daughters of Caroline Himmelberg and the late Charlie Himmelberg, sit on Santa's lap in Lawrence.
Santa visited Lawrence on Sunday arriving on the back of a fire truck driven by the Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department. He took pictures with more than 50 youngsters and handed out goodie bags at the Lawrence American Legion. The youngsters were able to decorate homemade sugar cookies donated by Lisa Kathman.
