Nancy Patton

Nancy L. Patton, 81, the daughter of Billy LeRoy and Joy Edith (Wellington) Cain, was born Sept. 24, 1941, at Englewood, Calif. She died Nov. 9, 2022, at the Brodstone Hospital in Superior.

Nancy grew up in Norwalk, Calif. She received her formal education attending Excelsior High School, graduating with the Class of 1959. She was united in marriage with James B. Patton on Nov. 23, 1958, at Downing, Calif. This union was blessed with two sons, James and Bill.

Nancy was employed for a number of years with the JC Penny Company and then with Modern Coveralls where she was their warehouse manager. In 2000, they moved to Superior, to enjoy their retirement.

In her leisure time, she was involved in a number of activities and interests including bowling, fishing, hunting and talking on the CB radio. They especially enjoyed traveling with their camper and set out on endless adventures across the country. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone she met. Nancy was a member of the Superior Centennial Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James, on Oct. 3, 2001; her granddaughter, Crystal Cash; and two sisters, Cindy Agnew and Patty Cole.

Survivors are her sons, James Patton of Apple Valley, Calif., and Bill Patton of Ontario, Calif.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kathy Deasey of Kentucky.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior with the Rev. Greg Schaffer officiating.

Visitation was held from 1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Williams Funeral Home in Superior and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to service time.
