Zak Gunner Corman, the son of Danny and Becky (Lanham) Corman, was born on August 3, 2005, in Hastings, Neb. He died October 24, 2022, rural Superior, Neb., at the age of 17 years, 2 months, 21 days.
Zak was baptized at the Nora United Methodist Church on Dec. 4, 2005, and confirmed April 28, 2019, at Superior United Methodist Church. He attended Superior Public Schools through his sophomore year and currently was a junior at Deshler High School. He was a member of 4-H, FFA, Pheasants Forever and Nuckolls County Shooting Sports.
He liked to hunt, fish, trap, ride 4-wheelers, racing and farming, which included working cattle, tractor pulling, trailer racing, coon calling and running setlines.
He was happy to help neighbors and he always had a smile on his face. He didn't know a stranger and was always busy doing something outdoors. He enjoyed the river.
He will be truly missed by his parents, Danny and Becky; grandparents, Kenny and Judy Corman of Superior and Denny and Lorene Lanham of Nora; great-grandmother, Maxine Morris of Kearney, Neb .; aunts and uncles, David and Debbie Corman of Katy, Texas; Stan and Kathy Brennfoerder of Edgar; Darrin Lanham of Nora; Mike and Cathy Crawford of Montello, Wisconsin; cousins, Bo Corman, Kipp Corman, Breanna Brennfoerder, Kaden Lanham, Tenley Lanham, Kevin Crawford and Kim Crawford; and favorite sidekick, Ryver, his blue heeler; other relatives and a host of friends.
His memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, from the Nuckolls County Fairgrounds in Nelson, Neb., with Pastor Matt Ehlers officiating.
Recorded music was "By Your Grace" and "Broken Haloes."
Pallbearers were his cousins, Kaden, Tenley, Kevin, Kim, Bo, Kipp and Breanna. Honorary pallbearers were the Superior and Deshler Class of 2024.
