The Lawrence-Nelson volleyball team won their final regular season match, sweeping Franklin, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16, in three sets at Franklin last Tuesday,
They began postseason play Monday by sweeping Franklin in three sets, 25-6, 28-26 and 25-11, in their opening round match of sub-district D2-7 play at Nelson. The Raiders faced off against Giltner at Nelson Tuesday for the sub-distrcit title. Should the Raiders win, they will advance to the district finals, Saturday, against an opponent and a location to be determined.
Sydney Biltoft and Kara Menke led the Raiders with seven kills agasint Franklin. Emily Troudt netted six kills. Hanna Skinner tallied five kills. Claire Himmelberg added four kills. Katelyn Mazour had two kills. Troudt laced through four aces. Menke listed three aces for the match. Biltoft, Himmelberg, Mazour and Skinner each scored with an ace.
The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) will have district pairings listed on their web site.
