Superior Marching Band place in competitions

The Superior High School Marching Band competed in two competitions this year. Harvest of Harmony took place on the first Saturday in October and required the band to leave Superior before 5 a.m. to make their check in time. Following the parade, the band competed in the field show competition as well. Both performances received a "Division 2-Excellent." The second competition of the season took place Oct. 15, in Minden, with a slightly later wake up call. The band received a "Division 1-Superior" for their parade marching and another "Division 2-Excellent" for their field show, but only missed a Division 1 by three points!

Allison White, the band's teacher, is proud of all the hard work the students put in this summer and school year to prepare for their field show competitions. The band will now focus on concert band music and basketball pep band repertoire.
