Beginning today, Thursday, the Kansas Department of Transportation will resurface the northbound lanes of U.S. 81 in Cloud County.
Work on U.S. 81 will begin five miles north of the Cloud-Ottawa County line and continue north about 11.5 miles to just south of the Concordia city limits.
Traffic will be reduced to one 14-foot lane at a reduced speed through the work zone. Drivers should expect minimal delays, not exceeding five minutes.
Hall Brothers Inc. of Marysville is the prime contractor for this $3.2 million project which is scheduled for completion in January 2023, weather permitting.
