Relocation Pilot Loan-Grant Program still has slots available

The North Central Kansas Regional Relocation Pilot Loan-Grant Program has received another request. Each county has until Dec. 31, 2022 to use its initial allocation of three relocation incentives. After Dec. 31, 2022, all remaining slots-incentives will be combined and available on a first come, first served basis in the 8-county service area with executed contract closing date of “on or before March 31, 2023.”

There are 24 incentives-for allocation for $300,000. On Aug. 15, Mitchell County had one application for $12,500. Republic County had one $12,500 application on Aug. 30. There are 22 still remaining equaling $275,000 available. These loan and grants are available for Jewell County also.

As of March 1, 2023, if the program has funds reserved, but not closed yet, the sponsors will allow that same number of purchase(s) to be placed in a “queue” in case one or more of those purchases falls through.  For those requests in the queue, it is recommended the executed purchase agreement outline it is “subject to the $12,500 relocation incentive being available from the NCK Regional Relocation Loan/Grant Pilot Program.” Or the bank may provide interim financing on the $10,000 participation loan at its own risk.

Requests in the queue will be processed on a first come first served basis. Those in the queue will still need to have a closing date of on or before March 31, 2023.

Questions should be directed to Debra J. Peters, NCK Regional Relocation Program manager; Keegan Bailey, Four Rivers Home Ownership Program manager, or NCK Regional Relocation Program coordinator.
