Jessica Sole, L-N junior, takes the soap scrimmage seriously by making sure her passes are on point in order to prepare for the upcoming volleyball season.
The volleyball season gets underway in earnest for Lawrence-Nelson High School when they travel to Giltner, Thursday, for their regular season opener. The team played two jamboree matches at Kenesaw Tuesday.
The team heads to Axtell Saturday for a tournament with three to be determined teams.
Nolan Kowata enters his second year as head coach. His team compiled 17-15 record last season. Dina Hoelting serves as assistant coach.
Senior class members of the 2022 team are Katelyn Mazour and Emily Troudt. Sydney Biltoft, Claire Himmelberg and Jessica Sole represent the junior class. The sophomore class presence is Brooklyn Combs, Josie Hajny, Vali Koehler, Addison McCloskey, Kara Menke, Onja Myers and Hannah Skinner.
The team will go as far as their sophomore class members can add production to the experienced junior and senior players. The team is playing their games in Nelson this season.
