SHDHD expects early fall arrival of bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccine; encourages COVID-19 boosters and influenza vaccinations
Hastings, Neb – In the health department’s weekly health update on August 23, South Heartland District Health Department (SHDHD) executive director Michele Bever reported the department is planning for the arrival of the new bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines.
“The health department is planning to continue offering COVID-19 vaccine at the weekly COVID vaccine clinic for ages 12 and older on Wednesdays, 4 pm – 6 pm, at the west end of Allen’s in Hastings. This includes the Pfizer and Moderna primary vaccine series (1st and 2nd doses of the original COVID-19 vaccines) and booster vaccines. The latter will be replaced by the new bivalent booster vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, when they arrive,” Bever said.
