Darlyne Standley, 100, died Aug. 10, at her farm near Courtland. She was born on June 16, 1922, in Republic County, the daughter of Darrell George Standley and Eda (Sallman) Standley.
She was a lifelong resident of the rural Courtland area, except for a year during WWII when she moved to Orange, Calif., and worked in a factory for the war effort. Darlyne remained on the family farm and kept books for the Standley partnership owned by Darlyne and her two brothers, Ralph and Frank.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Eda Standley; and her three brothers: Raymond, Ralph, and Frank.
Survivors include her aunt, Edith Sallman Linden, of Concordia; and 18 first cousins.
Her funeral was held Aug. 17, at the Amana Lutheran Church, Scandia, with PMA Marilyn Dunstan, officiating.
Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.
