Jewell County Road Department plans to remove a deteriorating bridge and replace with a road tube, just south of the Y Road and 250 Road intersection (entrance to Lovewell State Park). The work is planned for Tuesday, Aug. 23, and is expected to last for one full day. Entrance-exit to and from Lovewell State Park will not be possible from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23. The Lovewell State Park Office and Lovewell Marina and Grill will both be closed on Tuesday. Questions can be directed to the Lovewell State Park Office prior to the closure at 785-753-4971.
