In advance of the street dance sponsored this week by the Nelson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments, more than $11,000 was contributed by area business firms to assist with the operation of the departments.
Donors were grouped according to the amount of their donation. The categories were Diamond ($1,000 or more), Gold ($500 to $999), Silver ($100 to $499), and Bronze ($99 or less).
Diamond Lime L.L.C. was the only Diamond Category donor.
Gold category donors included Agrex, Inc. Aurora Cooperative, Country Design Lawn and Landscape L.L.C. (Todd and Laura Himmelberg), Ideal Market. Meyers Aerial Service, RDP Crop Insurance L.L.C., Superior Implement, Inc, and The Fairfield Butcher Shop.
