Week four of competition is now in the books! The couples summer golf league met Friday evening in Nelson on another pleasant evening.
Women did all of the teeing off Friday. Jerry Bargen and Sally Uhrmacher had a low net score of 33 and Richard P. and Heather Watson came in with a 53 for a high gross score. Three teams had the most over on a hole with four each. Cody and Crystal Wyatt had an 8 on the par 4 no. 5 as well as Joe Harwell and Jenny Simmons and Royce and Brenda Schott had an 8 on no. 6.
Ken Rempe had the shortest putt on no. 1 at 5 1/2”; Carla Jeardoe was the closest to the hole on no. 3 at 17’, and Cindy Troudt’s drive on no. 5 was the closest to the 100 yard marker.
Thus the standings after Friday evening are:
Moving up to first place with two additional points are Jerry Bargen and Sally Uhrmacher with 6 1/2 points.
In a close second place with six points are the teams of Cody and Crystal Wyatt and Richard and Verlene Watson.
Jim and Mary Farmer are right behind them in fourth place with 5 1/two points.
Craig German and Cindy Hewitt are still in fifth place with their additional two points, giving them five.
Joe Harwell and Jenny Simmons moved up to sixth place with a total of four points now.
With 3 1/2 points, there is a three way tie for seventh place. Ken and Jan Rempe; Chuck and DeAnna Tuttle and Hunter Holland and Emily Wulf.
Dorrel Lipker and Carla Jeardoe dropped down to tenth place with their 2 1/2 points.
Tying for Eleventh place with two points are Rod and Sue Burge; Royce and Brenda Schott and Coke and Cindy Troudt.
Richard P. and Heather Watson are still working on their handicap! LOL
Later we gathered at the club house for burgers.
Next week. July 1, the men will be doing all of the teeing off.
