Nuckolls Co. Board awards culvert bids

Nuckolls County Board

The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson Tuesday. The meeting was held Tuesday because of Monday’s Juneteenth holiday.

The board approved claims from county departments.

Bids were opened for steel tubes to be used in road projects. Ace-Eaton Metals, Kearney, was the low bidder for all six projects.

The board asked Royce Gonzales, clerk of the district court, to explore options for updating the county web site. Several links are currently inoperative on the site.

The board approved an agreement with Five Rule Rural Planning for a county comprehensive plan.

The board approved a resolution to amend the budget of the county attorney. A change in an employee health plan caused a shortage in the department account for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the courthouse. The courthouse will be closed Monday, July 4 to observe Independence Day.
