Come one, come all to the Jewell County Fair!
2022 Jewell County Fair, with the theme Country Pride County Wide, starts Friday, July 8, with the horse show at 8 a.m., poultry and rabbit show begins at 12:30 p.m., and the pet show following. The Adventure Lab, a learning activity, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. The beef show in the covered arena starts at 4:30 p.m. The ranch horse trail will be in the horse arena at 7 p.m. To finish off the night, horse show speed events will be at 8:30.
On Saturday, July 9, the day starts with the swine show at 8 a.m. and the sheep and goat show following 60 minutes after the swine show. The livestock judging contest for Jewell County 4-H and FFA is at 2 p.m.
Then Family Fun Night at the Fair starts. Adventure Lab is at 3 to 7 p.m., bouncy house and water slides, and jousting or climbing wall are from 4 to 7 p.m., Catch-an-Animal will be at 4:30 p.m. The pedal tractor pull will be at 5 p.m., with registration at 4:15 p.m. Sheep and bull riding in the horse arena starts at 6 p.m. To finish off the night, a concert with Jared ‘Pete’ Gile and dance will begin at 8 p.m.
Ozark Amusements Carnival will be at the fair Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Sunday, July 10, starts at 12:30 p.m.with the round robin showmanship contest. Animal exhibits will be released at 2 p.m. Fun swim will be at Mankato City Pool from 2 to 4 p.m. Quonset exhibits will be released between 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The public fashion revue and 4-H awards program will begin at 6 p.m., at the Sale Barn with the livestock premium sale at 7 p.m. finishing this year’s fair activities.
