Rock Hills High School hosted the Northern Plains League track meet at Mankato Thursday. The boys team was in sixth place with 37 points in the 13 team field of Osborne, Pike Valley, St. John’s, Tipton Catholic, Thunder Ridge, Lakeside, Tescott, Lincoln, Sylvan-Lucas Unified, Natoma, Southern Cloud and Chase. Wilson did not earn any points.
The girls team was in sixth place with 35 points in the 14 team field.
Grace Ayers recorded a fourth place finish in the 100 meter dash with her time of 14.44 seconds. Austyn Groote had a time of 15.26 seconds.
Ayers nabbed fifth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 29.8 seconds.
Hannah Simmelink had a time of 1:16.25 for eighth place in the 400 meter dash.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Groote, Lauren Whelchel, Simmelink and Ayers finished in fifth place with their time of 56.77 seconds.
Faith Reinert had a toss of 27’8” for the shot put.
Reinert had a throw of 68’5” in the discus. Groote had a throw of 58’4”.
Raylynn Anderes had a 56’10” javelin throw.
Whelchel cleared 4’6” for fourth place in the high jump. Anderes finished in fifth palce with her height of 4’4”.
Whechel earned the second place points in the pole vault at 8’.
Ayers took third place points in the long jump with her leap of 14’8.5”. Simmelink had a leap of 13’5.5” for eighth palce.
Kit Wagner finished the 100 meter dash in 13.21 seconds.
Isaiah Ridgeway finished in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with hsi time of 25.65 seconds.
Tristyn Reynolds was in fifth place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:26.09. He finished in fourth place in the 3200 meter run with his time of 12.33.34.
Camden ward held third place in the 300 meter hurdles with his time of 45.16 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Ridgeway, Wyatt Evert, Wagner and Nate Meyers nabbed fourth place with their time of 49.05 seconds.
Evert had a toss of 36’1.75” in the shot put. Aaron Underwood had a toss of 33’9.25”. Zach Gurka had a distance of 31’4.5”.
Evert finished in fourth place in the discus with his throw of 108’7”. Underwood recorded a throw of 99’2”. Gurka had a throw of 64’9”.
Evert had a javelin throw of 105’8”. Wagner had a throw of 97’5.5”.
Ward held fifth place in the high jump with his height of 5’4”.
Ridgeway earned the fifth place points in the pole vault with the height of 9’
Nate Meyers sewed up second place with his leap of 19’6”. Wagner had a jump of 16’
Ward covered 35’2” to take fifth place in the triple jump.
The Grizzlies will compete for berths at the state meet when they participate at the 1A regional meet at Washington County high School Friday.
