The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys track and field teams traveled to Deshler, Tuesday, for the rescheduled Twin Valley Conference track meet. Adverse weather last Saturday forced the change of date for the event. The District D-6 state qualifying meet was Wednesday at Sandy Creek. Meet results were unavailable at press time but are available on the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) web site.

The girls team finished in third place at Deshler, with 83 points, in the nine team TVC meet field of Deshler, Kenesaw, Shelton, Silver Lake, Blue Hill, Red Cloud, Franklin and Harvard. The boys team finished in fourth place, with 42 points, in the nine team field.

The Russ Snyder Invitational, hosted by Lawrence-Nelson at Sandy Creek was rescheduled from Thursday to Friday because of inclement weather. Teams from Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Blue Hill Deshler, Harvard, Kenesaw, Meridian, Sandy Creek, Shelton and Silver lake.

Elsa Jorgensen finished in third place in the girls 100 meter dash finals with her time of 14.18 seconds. Katelyn Mazour was in fifth place with her time of 14.35 seconds. Brook Combs ran a preliminary heat of 16.83 seconds.

Kara Menke held down third place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 28.75 seconds. Mazour ran a preliminary heat with the time of 30.44 seconds. Aleah Heikkinen posted a preliminary heat time of 31.2 seconds.

Menke picked up the third place points in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:07.67. Addison McCloskey had a time of 1:2127.

Emily Troudt was in sixth place in the 1600 meter run with her time of 6:49.14.

Jessica Sole took fifth place with her time of 15.12.76 for the 3200 meter run.

Emma Epley topped the 100 meter hurdles field with her time of 16.44 seconds. Sydney Biltoft grabbed third place with the time of 17.59 seconds.

Biltoft was in third place with her time of 51.16 seconds for the 300 meter hurdles.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Biltoft, Heikkinen, Jorgensen and Menke were in fourth place with their time of 4:42.48.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of McCloskey, Hanna Skinner, troudt and Sole landed in fourth place with their time of 12:38.2.

Heikkinen earned the faith place points in the discus with a throw of 91’2.5”. Mazour had a best throw of 74’10”.

Biltoft finished in third place in the high jump with a height of 4’2”.

Epley secured second place points in the long jump with her leap of 15’8”. Jorgensen followed in third place at 15’2.5”. Combs has a leap of 11’3”.

Epley produced second place points in the triple jump with her distance of 32’3”.

Rocky Miller ran a preliminary heat of the boys 100 meter dash in 14.09 seconds.

Erik Wheeland ran a preliminary 200 meter dash heat in 27.28 seconds. Sawyer Cox turned in a heat time of 29.98 seconds.

Nolan Ostdiek notched a fourth place finish in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:1572.

Logan Menke was in first place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:04,88.

Carter Griffis ran the 300 meter hurdles in 49,49 seconds for seventh place.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Ostdiek, Devyn Zikmund, wheeland and Menke landed sixth place with their time of 49.87 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Tyson Kotinek, Ostdiek, Wheeland and Zikmund finished in sixth place with their time of 4:02.84.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Ostdiek, Zikmund, Kotinek and menke nailed down first place with their 9:02.51 time.

Keaton Mazour registered a fifth place finish in the shot put with his toss of 37’2.75”. Cox had a best throw of 31’4.5”.

Wheeland stepped up for a second place finish in the discus with his throw of 123’4”. Cox listed third place with his 114’4.5”. Mazour had a best throw of 91’.

Zikmund had a 15’8.75” effort in the long jump.

Kotinek covered 35’6.6” for the triple jump.

Jorgensen finished in sixth place at the Russ Synder Invite with her time of 14.14 seconds. Mazour has a heat of 14.44 seconds. Combs was over the line in 16.67 seconds.

K. Menke held down second place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 29.04 seconds. Mazour listed a time of 30.7 seconds.

K. Menke finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:5.53. Skinner had a time of 1:15.98. Addison McCloskey registered a time of 1:20.92.

Troudt had a time of 7:00.46 for the 1600 meter run.

Sole took fifth place honors in the 3200 meter run with her time of 15:4.92.

Biltoft’s time of 16.83 seconds for the 100 meter hurdles was good for second place. She added another second place finish in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 49.16.

Epley had a preliminary heat time of 17.61 seconds for the 100 meter hurdles.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Jorgensen, Epley, K. Menke and Aleah heikkinen were in third place with heir time of 54.38 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Biltoft, Claire Himmelberg, Jorgensen and K. Menke held fourth place with their time of 4:37.49.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Himmelberg, Skinner, Troudt and Sole had a time of 12:36.25 for sixth place.

Beard collected third place points for the shot put with her toss of 33’1”.

Beard was seventh in the discus with her throw of 88’2”. Heikkinen was in eighth place with her throw of 87’7”. Mazour had an effort of 62’5”.

Biltoft cleared 4’4” for third place in the high jump.

Epley gathered up the third place points in the long jump at 15’10”. Jorgensen followed in fourth place with a jump of 15’1”. Combs had a jump of 11’5”.

Epley held second place in the triple jump with her distance of 32’8,25”.89.

Wheeland ran a 12.88 second 100 meter dash heat. Miller ran his preliminary heat in 14.13 seconds. Roy Davidson ran a 15.85 heat.

Kotinek had a 26.44 time for the 200 meter dash. Cox was finished in 29.75 seconds.

Zikmund earned second place points for the 400 meter dash with his time of 55.89 seconds.

Ostdiek landed fourth place points for the 800 meter run with his time of 2:15.51.

L. Menke nailed down first place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 4:52.31.

Griffis ran the 110 meter hurdles in 22,48 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of wheeland, Ostdiek, Kotinek and Zikmund were in sixth place with their time of 49.77 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Kotinek, Ostdiek, Wheeland and Zikmund took sixth place with their time of 4:01.61.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Ostdiek, Kotinek, Zikmund and L. Menke were the second place team with their time of 8:59.6.

Keaton Mazour was in seventh place in the shot put with his toss of 35’6.5”. Cox had a best toss of 33’11”. Miller had a toss of 28’6.5”.

Wheeland acquired third place in the discus with his throw of 123’1”. Cox took eighth place with his throw of 103’6”. Keaton Mazour had a throw of 86’1.5”.
