COVID-19 changed a lot of things over the past two years. One of the changes was the annual Pilgrimage to Catholic churches and shrines that originated out of Lawrence, and the three Catholic parishes in the area.
However, that changed for 2022 as Father Harrison made arrangements for the trips to resume as the effects of the pandemic were getting less severe.
On Tuesday, April 26, a bus load of parishioners from the surrounding parishes left for the 2022 pilgrimage.
This year's trip took them to Boys Town near Omaha; St. Cecilia's Church in Omaha; St. Mary Magdalene Church; the Cloisters on the Platte and the Mass at Holy Family Shrine near Gretna.
The group also enjoyed meeting several former parishioners who joined them for part of the experience along the way.
