The past week flew by. Hubby was home for most of it, which completely threw me off. He concussed himself, and the doctor thought it best he stayed home. I guess he is not as hard headed as I thought. Thankfully he is all better and back to work.
The Money Pit is coming together nicely, I finished the living room this weekend, and I am more than happy with the turnout. Renovating would have been my chosen profession if I could go back in time. I love the work, but I’m not sure I could do it day in and day out anymore. Next weekend, the hubby plans to work on the kitchen. I plan to finish painting the upstairs landing. I started priming it back in December and then got sidetracked.
I’m not stressing quite as bad about graduation this week. For the most part, I think we are ready. I am beginning to feel the stress of pool season, though. I hope to get my lifeguards started with training soon. I wish it would warm up a bit. I don’t like being down there when it’s gloomy and cool, and I don’t want to start cleaning things up too soon and have to do it over again.
I was off to a good start this morning and thought today might be a good day. Well, I got frustrated over something, and when I’m frustrated, I can’t write. So I went out to the patio and started throwing and angry cleaning! I moved the construction supplies near the garage in an attempt to make the yard look less undesirable. Not sure that helps the look of the yard, but I’m writing again, so, at the very least, it helped with my mood. Sometimes it takes mindless physical labor to get me back on track.
Our big trash can broke and went in the compactor a while back. We have yet to replace it. So the garbage has just been getting piled on the patio, making us look like the kind of people you don’t want to associate with, LOL! I piled the trash in the bed of the pickup (which is still out of commission) to be taken later today. I asked Jacob to take it Friday, but he didn’t, and I’ve asked every day since. Let’s just say I won’t be asking today.
Thank goodness the wind isn’t blowing today. I was starting to think it would blow forever. Even though I’m not looking forward to mowing, I continue to pray we are blessed with some rain. April showers bring May flowers, or so they say. I’m hoping April showers will make a lackadaisical May for our local fire departments. X’s & O’s.
