Kalynn Meyer competing in track for UN-L

Kalynn Meyer, a former Superior High School three-sport stand out, has eschewed volleyball after two seasons at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, to pursue her dream of competing in the 2024 Olympics in the discus throw.

She is a member of the UN-L track and field team.

She competed in her first outdoor meet of the season Friday and Saturday at the Arizona State University Invitational at Tempe.

In her first outdoor track meet competition since her senior season at Superior High School, Meyer recorded a third place finish, with a toss of 14.7 meters (48’8”) in the shot put. She followed with a fourth place finish in the discus with a throw of 51.87 meters (170’3”.)
