SHS boys advance in sub-district

The Superior High School boys basketball team ended their regular season on a high note as they downed the Sutton Mustangs 37-26 at Superior Friday. They continued their winning ways when they handed Alma a 75-48 loss ion the play-in game of sub-district C2-9 play Monday at Hastings.

Superior scored a season high 75 points as they waltzed by Alma. They faced a more stringent test Tuesday when they faced off against number one seed Hastings St. Cecilia at Hastings. Game results were unavailable at press time.

Dane Miller led the Wildcats against Sutton with 15 points.

Jacob Meyer had a breakout outing against Alma with 29 points. Seth Schnakenberg stepped up with 16 points. Ashton Grassman netted 13 points. Dane Miller dropped through 11 points. Tanner Theis put through nine points for the Wildcats. Roscoe Baumbach put up, two points. Taygun Rothchild sank a free throw for one point.

The Wildcats post-season progress depends on the outcome of Tuesday's game. Should they get past Hastings St. Cecilia they will for a district final berth today (Thursday) at Hastings St. Cecilia.
