L-N boys head to sub-district play

The Lawrence-Nelson boys basketball team closed out the regular season portion of their schedule with a 55-29 win against Deshler, at Deshler, Friday. The win left the Raiders with a 10-11 record for regular season play. The Raiders opened sub-district D2-3 play at Nelson, Tuesday. They played the winner of Monday’s Deshler-Harvard game. Game results were unavailable at press time.

Deshler proved to be no problem for the Raiders who held a 25-8 half time lead. Lawrence-Nelson cruised for the rest of game on their way to a 55-29 win in their season finale.

Krayton Kucera led the Raiders with 15 points.

Should the Raiders, who are the number one seed, win Tuesday, they will play the winner of Tuesday’s Hampton-Giltner game at Nelson today (Thursday). The winner advances to the district final.
