March 7 deadline to avoid county's delinquent tax sale

According to Vicki Ensign, Nuckolls County Treasurer, the delinquent taxpayer’s list that appeared in The Nuckolls County Locomotive-Gazette on Feb. 3, 10 and 17, and in The Superior Express on Feb. 17, means those taxes are up for sale.

Ensign said the deadline for paying these taxes will be before 10 a.m., March 7, in order to avoid the tax lien that will be created if a private investor purchases the delinquent taxes.

Ensign said the delinquent tax sale is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m., on Monday March 7, in the Nuckolls County Treasurer’s office.
