Mother's Day luncheon is being planned for May 8

The Mankato Chamber of Commerce met last Wednesday. Seven members were present.

Haley Nelson gave an update on the 2022 membership drive. So far this year, there are 27 members with $1,805 in dues income. She mailed out membership letters to the remaining members who have not yet paid dues for this year with a March 1st due date to stay active on the website.

There are still a few community calendars to be sold. They are available at State Exchange Bank, Farmway Credit Union, Mankato Plumbing, Paul Wilson’s office and Hair & More.

A list of activities had been sent to the travel bloggers who will be in town April 9.

Nelson gave an update on the 150th Celebration activities. Children’s activities will take place May 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in front of the Ute Theatre.

The Mother’s Day Luncheon will be held on Mother’s Day, May 8.

The scholarship application had been sent to the school with an April 11, due date.

The Community Wide Clean-Up was discussed. There is a possibility the city will take care of the clean up this year in coordination with the 150th Celebration. Trevor Elkins will talk to the city about their plans so the chamber know how to proceed.

The chamber would like to book Kill Creek Rising for the Threshing Bee.

The next regular monthly meeting will take place March 9, at the Buffalo Roam.
