Deadline nears for incumbents

Election filings

Carrie Miller, Nuckolls County clerk, provided The Superior Express with an updated list of candidates who have filed to run for elected offices in Nuckolls County, Superior, Nelson, Hardy, Nora, Oak, the Superior Airport Authority and the Lawrence-Nelson and Superior school boards.

Incumbents must file with the clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m Tuesday. Non-incumbents have until 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1.

In county wide races, Kenneth Rempe has filed for the commissioner seat in District 1. Tim Zikmund has filed for District 3.

Susan Rogers is running for reelection as county assessor. Royce Gonzales is seeking reelection as clerk of the district court. Bradley Baker seeks reelection as sheriff. John Hodge is seeking reelction as county attorney.;No one has filed for county treasurer..

Chris Peterson is seeking reelection as mayor of Superior. Rick Disney has filed for reelection in Superior Beaver 3. No candidates have filed in Beaver 1 and 2. Kerrie Jeffery is running for a seat on the Superior Airport Authority.

Teraesa Bruce has filed for the office of mayor for the City of Nelson. Doug Porter and Curtis Jordan have filed for at large seats on the city council.

Margorie Renz and Shelia Sjoholm have filed for the two seats on the Hardy village council.

Amber Epley and Robert Williams have filed for two of the three seasts on the Village of Nora village council.

There have been no candidate filings for two seats on the Oak village council.

David Ochsner is the only one to file for the Lawrence-Nelson school board. Three positions are to be filled.

Matthew Bargen and Brad Biltoft have filed for two of the three seats on the Superior school board Both are incumbents.
