SHS wrestlers compete at conference tourney

The Superior High School wrestling team finished in seventh place, with 49 points, at the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament held at Fillmore Central High School, Geneva, Friday and Saturday.

Other teams competing were David City, Milford, Fillmore Central, Fairbury, Centennial, Wilber-Clatonia, Sutton and South Central.

Holden MacDonald earned 16 team points with his second place finish in the 106 pound weight bracket. He has a 26-12 season record.

Brett Miller competed at 113 pounds, He has a 21-18 season record.

Cole Rughe competed at 120 pounds. He has a 4-26 record for the season.

Aaron Allgood was awarded nine team points for his fourth place finish in the 145 pound weight bracket. He has a 33-11 season record.

Angel Morgan wrestled at 182 pounds. He has a 2-9 season record.

Henry Griljava has a 13-21 season record in the 220 pound weight bracket.

Payton Christiancy finished in third place and earned 14 team points in the 285 pound weight bracket. He carries a 40-4 record at this point of the season.

The Wildcats close out their regular season with the Adams Central Invitational At Hastings Friday.
