The South Central Unified School District hosted the “South Central Quad” on Jan. 13, at Sandy Creek High School. The four teams involved were: The South Central Red Raiders; Doniphan-Trumbull, Superior and Harvard.
Each team had the opportunity to face the other three teams one time. The results for the South Central Red Raiders were as follows:
Doniphan-Trumbull defeated South Central 45-12: Rowan Jarosik won with a Fall in 1:55; Jacob Hagemeier lost via points 9-11; Nathan Elledge did not have a match.
Superior defeated South Central 48-12: Rowan Jarosik won with a Fall in 1:10; Jacob Hagemeier won with a Fall in 3:11. Nathan Elledge lost in a Fall in 0:45.
South Central defeated Harvard 18-6: Rowan Jarosik won with a Fall in 1:38; Jacob Hagemeier won with a Fall in 2:21; Nathan Elledge won via a forfeit.
The wrestlers next match is Jan. 29 with the Southern Nebraska Conference Meet in Geneva. The Twin Valley Conference Meet is Feb. 3 at Amherst.
State competition in the district is fast approaching.
