Holiday tournaments are popular for most all high school sports and the South Central Red Raiders Wrestling team traveled to the Fillmore Central High School Holiday Tournament on Dec. 29, to take part in the 21 team event.
Bishop Neumann won the tournament with 155 points. The Red Raiders placed 12th with 28 points.
The breakdown for the Red Raiders was as follows:
113 pound division: Rowan Jarosik, 16-7, placed 3rd and scored 15 team points. Rowan won four of his five matches, losing in the Championship round, but winning the 3rd place match.
160 pound division: Jacob Hagemeier, 9-11, placed 6h and scored 8 team points. Jacob won his first two matches, lost his third but won the Consolation round, but lost in the 5th place match.
182 pound division: Ethan Devlin, 8-7, placed 6th and scored 5 team points. Ethan went five rounds, winning two.
220 pound division: Nathan Elledge, 4-16, placed 10th. Nathan went five rounds winning his last two to place 10th.
