SHS wrestling

The Superior High School wrestling team competed at a dual match held at Oakland-Craig High School, Oakland, Friday. Results were unavailable at press time. The team finished in sixth place at the Dan Mowinkel-Logan View Invitational at Logan View High School, Hooper, Saturday. The Wildcats scored 124 points in the 15 team field.

Cheyenne Stacy earned a third place finish in her first varsity meet held at Fairbury Saturday.

Teams competing at Logan View were Milford, Fillmore Central, Columbus Lakeview, Battle Creek, Logan View, Howells Dodge, Syracuse, Fort Calhoun, Tekamah-Herman, Lincoln Northeast, Columbus Scotus, North bend Central, Logan View junior varsity and Southern.

Holden MacDonald finished in third place, earning 16 team points in the 106 pound weight bracket.

Cole Rughe competed at 113 pounds. Brett Miller finished in fourth place in the 113 pound weight bracket. He was awarded nine team points.

Hayden Neeman took third place along with 16 team points in the `26 pound weight bracket.

Gavin Ekstein earned three team points in the 138 pound weight bracket.

Aaron Allgood brought home a second place finish and 18 team points in the 145 pound weight bracket.

Isaac Hathaway competed at 152 pounds.

Jordan Brown was in fourth place in the 182 pound weight bracket. He picked up 11 team points for his effort.

Ty Woerner landed 20 team points with his second place finish in the 198 pound weight bracket.

Henry Griljava competed for Superior at 200 pounds.

Payton Christiancy picked up 20 team points and second place in the 285 pound weight bracket.

The Wildcats return to the mats at the Fillmore Central Invitational at Geneva Wednesday.
