Joyce Ann Easton, 88, was born on June 22, 1933, in Fairbury, to Gaylend and Anna (Weichel) Lightbody. She died Dec. 10.
She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1951. While in school, she was a member of Glee Club, Tri-Y, and a drummer in the high school band.
She married William “Bill” Easton on May 1, 1954 in Fairbury. To this union of 67 years, two boys were born, Clark and Kirk.
Joyce worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life for several area businesses including City Investment, Farm Bureau, Thayer County Courthouse, Byron Chemical, Peake’s Transportation, Reinke’s, and Foote’s Servic...
