Walk in and drive through vaccination clinic to be held in Mankato
Jewell County Health Department and the Jewell County EMS will be hosting a walk in and drive through vaccination clinic at the Mankato Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 11. They will be administering COVID vaccinations as well as flu shots.
Social distancing will be encouraged, and masks will be provided if you don’t have one to wear. Please come feeling healthy and able to bare your arm for injection. Please plan on a 15-minute observation period following injection.
COVID vaccinations include Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. First time vaccination and booster shots as well as Pfizer pediatric doses for ages 5 to 18 will all be available.
All individuals over the age of 5 are now eligible to receive the initial COVID vaccination.
Boosters are now available for anyone over the age 18.
To be eligible for booster shots, it must be at least six months from your last injection. For Johnson and Johnson, it must be at least two months from the initial injection.
The COVID -19 immunizations are free to everyone. Please bring your vaccination card and insurance cards with you.
Enter through the east door. For the drive through service enter in the south circle drive. Look for signs for further instructions.
Vaccines are considered fully effective after two weeks after of their second dose. More clinic dates will be scheduled in January, but we encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
