The 4th Annual Harvest Moon Gala hosted by Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation was held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the historic Superior Auditorium. More than 200 guests arrived on the red carpet, dressed to impress and ready for an evening of supporting a great cause. This year’s focus shifted from treatment to early detection. Attendees were able to hear from Brodstone leadership, employees and a breast cancer survivor on the importance of yearly mammograms as they watched a sneak peek video of the latest mammography equipment and technology Brodstone will offer. Friendly bidding competitions took place, raffle winners were announced and high-energy entertainment followed.
The Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation announced the preliminary fundraising total of more than $140,000 thus far. Another impressive amount that is a clear indication of the tremendous community and regional support this event receives. As the Harvest Moon Gala continues year after year, the impact supporters and donors have will continue for generations at Brodstone. Past events have brought chemotherapy infusion to the facility, infusion suites and a healing garden which are both under construction currently, and now updated 3D Mammography equipment and technology.
“We are very fortunate to have the support of so many wonderful communities in our area that help us move healthcare forward and allow us to provide state of the art care in a healing environment. Without you we would not be able to have the services or technology that impact so many on a daily basis. We are truly thankful for your support and trust that allows us to provide Superior care close to home,” said Treg Vyzourek, Brodstone Memorial Hospital, CEO
Next year will be the 5th annual event for the foundation. The committee hopes to release a save the date soon. If you are interested in donating and making an impact for future generations, contact Heather Erickson, director of foundation.
