The Superior High School volleyball season capped off the 2021 season with a fourth place finish at the state Class C-2 tournament in Lincoln.
Shayla Meyer led the team with 497 kills for the season. Teegan Duncan compiled 144 kills. Cailyn Barry provided 120 kills. Madison Heusinkvelt produced 114 kills. Brooklynn Grabast added 34 kills. Ella Gardner posted 31 kills. Atlee Kobza had seven kills. Sadie Rempel made three kills while Mikynzie Hansen had one kill.
Shayla Meyer scored with 37 aces as the top ace producer. Duncan and Gardner sliced through 32 aces each for scores. Heusinkvelt contributed 25 aces. Rempel recorded 15 aces. Sadie Cornell, Grabast and Kobza had one ace apiece. Barry and Meyer each made six blocks. Heusinkvelt had three blocks. Duncan and Gardner made a block apiece.
Meyer was at the top of the dig producers with 284. Kobza came through with 216 digs. Gardner put away 197 digs. Duncan was good for 168 digs. Rempel scraped the court for 95 digs. Barry took credit for 70 digs. Heusinkvelt jammed up 26 digs. Grabast accounted for 19 digs. Cornell landed six digs. Hansen added two digs while Lilly Edwards had one dig.
Barry, Hansen and Meyer played their final season for Wildcats as they are members of the Class of 2022.
