The Lawrence-Nelson football team exited the Class D-2 football playoffs with their 60-20 loss to the Sandhills-Thedford Knights at Dunning Thursday.
The Raiders were unable to thwart the Sandhills-Thedford running game. The Knights ground out 291 yards on the ground. The Raiders relied on their aerial game to propel the offense. Despite gaining 171 yards through the air, the Raiders were able to score only one passing touchdown.
Krayton Kucera was 15 of 28 with his passes for 171 yards and a touchdown.
Conner Janda hauled in five passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Tyson Kotinek reeled in four receptions for 83 yards. Erik Wheeland latched onto three passes for 49 yards. Keaton Mazour picked up eight yards with his one reception.
Kucera gained 21 yards with his 11 carries. He scored a touchdown. Toby Kotinek covered 38 yards with his eight carries. He scored a touchdown. Janda picked up 14 yards on two carries. Devyn Zikmund ran for seven yards with his two carries. Tyson Kotinek hit five yards with his one carry. Balyn Bargen was good for two yards with his sole carry. Wyatt Brockman picked up three yards with one carry. He added a two-point rushing conversion.
Kucera recorded three solo tackles and three assisted tackles. Nolan Ostdiek came through with three solo tackles and an assisted tackle. D. Zikmund and Tyson Kotinek collected three solo tackles apiece. Toby Kotinek landed two solo tackles and three assisted tackles. Brockman contributed two solo tackles and two assists. Mazour grabbed a solo tackle and added three assisted tackles. Clay Williams nailed a solo tackle and an assisted tackle. Rocky Miller and Wheeland each claimed a solo tackle. Janda latched onto three assisted tackles. Aidan Zikmund helped with two tackle. Riley Cannaday and Carter Griffis added an assisted tackle each.
