SHS football downs Sandy Creek

The Superior High School football season picked up their third win of the season with a 24-0 win over the Sandy Creek Cougars at Superior Friday. The win improved the Wildcats season record to 3-2.

Superior scored all the points it would need in the second quarter. The defense performed at a high level throughout the game and sealed the win.

Dane Miller completed four of his nine pass attempts for 67 yards. Jacob Meyer snagged two receptions for 38 yards. Aiden Humphries nabbed one pass for 17 yards. Clayton Morris pulled in one reception for 12 yards.

Miller carried the ball 19 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Morris took the ball 13 times to cover 39 yards. Tyler Everhart gained 18 yards with his four carries. Humphries picked up one yard with his lone carry.

Christian Avalos was successful with his two point after touchdowns kicks. He also averaged 46 yards per kickoff.

Morris recorded five solo tackles and four assisted tackles. Seth Schnakenberg contributed five unassisted tackles and had one assisted tackle. Anders Webber nailed down four solo tackles and had two assists. Meyer jammed up four solo tackles and had an assisted tackle. Ty Boller came through with three solo tackles and three assists. Jordan Brown was good for three solo shots and an assisted tackle. Aaron Allgood collected a solo tackle and three assists for the game. Everhart chipped in a solo tackle and an assist.

The Class C1 Fillmore Central Panthers bring their 1-4 record to Brodstone Memorial Field Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
