Perhaps Superior’s football team should just stay out on the road for all their games. Their two victories this season are from away games while their two losses are at home.
The Wildcats secured a 36-10 win over the Syracuse Rockets at Syracuse Friday. The win evened their record at 2-2 for the season.
Dane Miller completed four of 10 passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Jacob Meyer snagged three passes good for 45 yards. Clayton Morris converted his one reception into a six yard touchdown.
Clayton Morris was the workhorse ball carrier with 17 . He gained 129 yards and scored one touchdown. Tyler Everhart carried the ball 10 times for 67 yards and one touchdown. Miller hauled the ball six times for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Matt Colgrove took the ball four times for 11 yards. Aiden Humphries picked up six yards with his one carry. Hayden Neeman had two yard for his one carry.
Christian Avalos converted all five of his extra point kick attempts.
Jordan Brown stepped up with nine solo tackles and six assisted tackles. Morris accounted for seven solo tackles and four assists. Meyer chipped in six solo tackles and two assists. Seth Schnakenberg collected five solo tackles and two assists. Luke Jameson and Miller took care of four solo tackles apiece. Payton Christiancy made three solo tackles and had two assists. Colgrove latched onto two solo tackle and made two assisted tackles. Ty Boller accomplished a solo tackle and assisted with five tackles. Aaron Allgood posted a solo tackle.
The Wildcats host the 3-2 Sandy Creek Cougars at Brodstone Memorial Field Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
