SHS girls golf takes fourth at Kearney

The Superior High School girls golf team continues their impressive season. The newly formed team took home a fourth place finish from the Kearney Catholic Invitational played over 18 holes at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course, Thursday.

The 10 teams in the field were Broken Bow, Grand Island Central Catholic, Kearney Catholic, Cozad, Gothenburg, St. Paul, Arcadia-Loup City, Doniphan-Trumbull and Ravenna. The team bettered their previous match score by 17 strokes.

Haley Blackstone shot a round of 98, good for 14th place in the individual scoring column.

Emma Henderson carded a round of 102. Neah McMeen came through with a round of 112. Nadia Mcmeen recorded a round of 138.

The Wildcats host Doniphan-Trumbull at the Superior Country Club, Tuesday, for their only home match of the season. Spectators are welcome. The teams tee off at 3:15 p.m.
