I am so frustrated! We ordered a new refrigerator and cook stove this spring. As with everything right now, there was a wait, which wasn’t a big deal to me at the time. Well, my appliances went to the shipper at the beginning of July and are still sitting waiting to be shipped. The shipper said things are “backed up” because of the WooFlu, and they are waiting on dates from dispatch. I ordered and received my furnace in the same month, so I’m having a bit of trouble understanding this.
I filled out their online forms, set email inquires, asked for a callback, and heard nothing from them. When I call, I sit on hold for E-V-E-R! Just to hear that they haven’t received any available dates as of yet! When I called the company, I ordered the appliances from, and they were told the shipper had attempted to contact me several times. So the appliance company sent the shipper an email and has me included in the said email. Neither of us has heard a peep!
Today George called me over lunch and said our “Money Pit” had a semi-truck parked in front of it. I hadn’t gotten a call or an email but went down anyway just to see. By the time I got there, the truck was gone, along with my hopes and dreams. So now I’m sitting on hold, waiting to see if there is any more news on my appliances. Or if they, along with my life savings, were just a figment of my imagination. I won’t give the name of the company just yet, but if my frig isn’t here soon, well, use your imagination, it’s likely funnier!
As far as the “Money Pit” goes, it’s still a mess. I have two or three rooms ready for paint. So that’s a good thing. The “pit’ we live in is just that, a “lived-in Pit.” Every week I clean house, and every week it’s a mess again. The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. So maybe I am crazy after all.
Jacob is, so far, enjoying his senior year of high school. I’m pretty sure that is because of football season. That boy loves his foozball! We had the privilege of meeting with his recruiter, Jacob plans to join the Marine Corps. I was quite impressed with his recruiter, and that’s saying something. Jacob is my fourth child to show interest in the military, so I have met recruiters from every branch and have never been impressed. Recruiters are a bit like used-car salespeople. Take that how you will.
Robert is still stateside, which I can’t express how happy that makes me. He texted today saying he got stung by a wasp and asked what he needed to do to get the swelling down. It’s funny how now that he lives on his own, I have become so much smarter. LOL! X’s & O’s.
P.S. I got a delivery date for my imaginary appliances. I guess it helps to be persistent!
