Helicopter called to accident near Ruskin

Monday evening a west bound pickup travelling on Highway 136 struck a bull in the roadway about one half mile west of Ruskin. The vehicle ended up in some trees along the Jeff and Jennie Scholl driveway with the bull underneath the vehicle's rear.

Members of the Ruskin Volunteer Fire Department and the Deshler ambulance crew responded to the call for assistance. The bull was pulled from under the rear end of the pickup with a tractor and a passenger in the vehicle was removed and taken to an area hospital by the Deshler ambulance.
