Nifty Thrifty, by Brodstone, will be celebrating 30 years of business July 21 throuh 24. The celebration will include a 30-cent sale on all clothing items throughout the store. Nifty Thrifty is a second hand store located in downtown Superior. The Brodstone Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and its volunteers operate the store. Denise Thayer has managed Nifty Thrifty since

Nifty Thrifty accepts donated items in good condition and sells them in their storefront. Since its doors opened in July of 1991, Nifty Thrifty has had sales of more than one million dollars. Much of this has been donated to the BMH Foundation to assist in the purchase of new equipment for the facility. More than $500,000 has been raised in the past 10 years alone.
The Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit organization that accepts financial gifts to enhance and expand healthcare programs and services at Brodstone. The foundation officially became a separate 501(c)3 organization in 2020. The foundation’s sole purpose is to support, perform the function of, and to carry out the purposes of Brodstone Memorial Hospital. “We can’t say thank you enough to all of our gracious volunteers, donors, shoppers, and to Denise, for making Nifty Thrifty such a big success. Your generosity has helped us continue to expand our hospital service lines and has made a huge impact on our patients and the communities we serve,” said Treg Vyzourek, BMH CEO
