Lauradelle Warne

Lauradelle Warne, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother was born May 18, 1931, on the family farm near Burr Oak, Kan. She said she was "born in a pot" -  and died on July 1, 2021,  at home in Fort Collins, Colo., with family present. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John; her parents, Clarence and Ruth Fearing; and her siblings, June Dempsey (Gerald), Glen (Dorothy), Beth Kinzie (James), and Jean (Arlene).

She is survived by her brother, Harold Fearing of Enterprise, Ala.; her children. Thomas (Julie Dunn) of Fort Collins, Colo., Susan Haley of San Antonio, Texas, and Steven (Jamie) of Warsaw, Mo.; her grandchildren, Andrea, Maria, and Jose Joel (of Thomas); Kristen, Heather Frye (Brandon) and Amanda (of Susan); Jack Robert and Laura Jean (of Steven) and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Ellie (of Heather).

Lauradelle attended Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science in 1950, eventually receiving a degree in home economics from Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applied Science in 1961. Following her marriage on Dec. 30, 1951, and subsequent initiation as a US Army spouse in 1955, she became a world traveler and lived in Germany, Denmark, Yugoslavia and Japan as well as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Colorado.

Among her many interests and activities, she was a piano soloist and accompanist, church organist, a chorister, an artist, a seamstress and bridge enthusiast. She was active in the Brooke Army Medical Center  Women's Club, The Auxiliary to the Veterinary Medical Association of Bexar County and other service organizations. Lauradelle was a successful real estate agent in San Antonio, Texas, from 1979 to 2002. She enjoyed the Spurs, the symphony and Cotton Eyed Joe line dancing.

Lauradelle's burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with her husband and a Celebration of Life will be arranged at later dates.
