Friends establish assistance fund for Superior resident

Tina Fuller

Friends of a Superior resident, Tina Fuller, have established a GoFundMe account and are seeking donations to help with Mrs. Fuller's medical related bills. She has an assortment of life-threatening ills and is currently making trips to Omaha for treatment. The account may be reached at https://gofund.me/d72c5ef8

As most family and friends know, Tina has suffered with heart disease most of her life and has had multiple other health issues. In March, she was evaluated for a heart transplant but then found out she had COVID. In May she was denied a heart transplant because of her high pulmonary functions and hypertension. She was to work on getting better and they would reevaluated her, perhaps in August. In the mean time, she filled with fluid and had low levels of potassium. She was admitted to the hospital and learned that medical therapy was the next step. Tina chose to have a left ventricular assist device implanted in her chest. It will help pump blood from the left ventricle of the heart to the rest of her body.

On Tuesday morning, the fund had raised $1,010 toward a goal of $5,000.

The donations will be used to help with travel, lodging and food.
