Norma Cochran passes June 1, 2021

One of the oldest of the Lawrence area Kohmetscher family decedents, Norma Lorene Cochran, (on right), age 101, of Lincoln passed away late afternoon, June 1, 2021. This picture was taken several years ago, when the youngest, Dan Rempe, Phyllis Brockman, and Joan Sides visited with her.

She donated her body to science and wanted no funeral services. She will be remembered as a brilliant lady, earning a doctorate degree. What trials she went through in her lifetime here on earth. She spent a short time in Lawrence when her children were young and attended elementary school there. Mrs. Cochran was a graduate of Lawrence High School.

Norma was born Jan. 20,1920; she passed away June 1, 2021. She is survived by sons, Ronald and Kathy, Michael and Elizabeth, Ray and Deann; daughter Patricia Yousse; eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; son-in-law, Warren; one great-grandson, Josh; six sisters; and one brother. Her body was donated to science and will be cremated.
