Buddy Poppy to be distributed Friday

The VFW Auxiliary, along with help from the FBLA students of Rock Hills, will be helping distribute Buddy Poppies in Mankato on Friday, beginning at 9 a.m.

In 1924, the VFW registered the name “Buddy” Poppy with the U.S. Patent Office. The “Buddy” Poppy represents the blood shed by American military service members and reminds us of their sacrifices. The “Buddy” Poppy is assembled by disabled and needy veterans in VA medical facilities.
