Superior Airport project bid approved

The Superior Airport Authority received bids Thursday for an upcoming improvement project at Superior Municipal Airport.The Federal Aviation Administration released funds for the paving of the airport access road and a lighted parking lot near the terminal building. The parking area will have 14 spaces and a handicapped accessible space. Curbing will be installed along the edges of the lot.
The authority board met Monday to approve the construction contract which was awarded to VanKirk Brothers of Sutton. They were the sole bidder on the project. The authority board is comprised of Luke Meyers...
