The Superior High School golf team took to the Red Cloud Golf Course, Thursday, for the Red Cloud Invitational. Nine other teams were present for the 18-hole match. Doniphan-Trumbull, Franklin, Sandy Creek, Gibbon, Blue Hill, Lawrence-Nelson, St. Cecilia junior varsity and Bruning- Davenport-Shickley. Golfers from Deshler and Silver Lake also participated.
The Wildcats match at Clay Center’s Crooked Creek Country Club, Tuesday, for the Sandy Creek Invitational was postponed because of weather conditions impacted the playability of the course.
Superior finished in eighth place with a team score of 417. The four lowest individual scores are used to calculate the team score.
Conner Blackstone led Superior with a round of 86. That round was good for sixth place in the individual standings. Baylyn Bargen posted a round of 107. Taygun Rothchild finished with a round of 109. Haley Blackstone carded a round of 115. Aaron Allgood recorded a round of 124.
