The Rock Hills High School golf team played their first match of the season last Tuesday at the St. John’s Invitational at Beloit. The Grizzlies finished in third place with a team score of 551. The four lowest individual scores make up the team total.
The 18-hole match featured seven teams. Other teams at the event were Osborne, Tipton, Lakeside, St. John’s. Pike Valley and Riley County.
Jacob Barry led the Grizzlies with his round of 118. Ethan Kenworthy carded a round of 137. Garrett Barry recorded a round of 138. Cesar Ortiz finished with a round of 146. Andrew Babson scored a round of 149.
The team competes at the Southern Cloud Invitational at Glasco today (Thursday).
The Northern Plains League match is being played Monday at Tipton.
The Rock Hills Invitational is scheduled at the Mankato Country Club Tuesday.
