The Superior High School golf team finished in first place, with 407 strokes, at the Red Cloud quadrangular match at the Red Cloud Golf Course last Tuesday. The other teams at the match were Hastings and Blue Hill. The four lowest scores of a team are used to calculate the team total.
Conner Blackstone took top individual honors as he led the Superior team with his 18-hole round of 80. Taygun Rothchild was in fourth place in the individual standings with his round of 100. Aaron Allgood toured the course with 111 strokes, good for ninth place in the individual standings. Haley Blackstone finished her round with 116 strokes. Todd Keifer carded a round of 136.
The team returns to Red Cloud today (Thursday) for the Red Cloud Invitational. The Wildcats compete at the Sandy Creek Invitational, Tuesday, played at the Crooked Creek course in Clay Center.
