The schedule is out for the 2021 Nuckolls Co. Fair 4-H
The 2021 Nuckolls County 4-H Fair is set for July. On Tuesday, July 6, three events are scheduled. Beginning at 10 a.m., the companion animal-dog show will take place followed at 1:30 p.m., by the clothing construction and fashion show judging and company’s coming and culinary challenge. At 7 p.m., there will be a public fashion show and performing arts contest.
Thursday, July 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., is the static exhibit check in.
Friday, July 9, at 8 a.m., the static exhibit judging for 4-H and open class is scheduled. Participants can check in their horses from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 10, is the horse show.
Sunday, July 11, is a busy day. It starts at 7 to a.m., with hog check-in. From 8 to 10 a.m., is the beef check-in and bucket calf interview sign up. 9 to 10 a.m., is the sheep and goat check-in followed at 10 to 11 a.m., with the poultry and rabbit check -in. At 1 p.m. is the ice cream contest. 3 p.m., is the open class trap shoot which is sponsored by Superior FFA and 4-H Dual Thayer-Nuckolls County Shotgun Shoot. Bucket calf interviews are at 3 p.m. Participants for the evenings’ Kid’s Rodeo need to check in at 4:30 p.m.
That evening starting at 5 p.m., is the chicken BBQ. The Kid’s Rodeo begins at 6 p.m. Horses must be on grounds by 8 p.m.
Monday, July 12, at 8 a.m., the beef show begins. At 1 p.m., is the rabbit show with the poultry show following a half hour after the rabbit show. At 5 p.m., the beef BBQ begins. The rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 13, the hog show is at 8 a.m. Sheep show at 1 p.m. The goat show is a half hour after the sheep show. The 4-H Pork BBQ is at 5 p.m., with the rodeo to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 14, beginning at 8 a.m., is the large animal round robin. The small animal round robin is one hour after the first round robin. Static Exhibits will be released at noon. Turtle races are at 2 p.m. Sign up for the pedal tractor pull is at 2:30 p.m., with the pull beginning at 3 p.m. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m., and livestock released afterwards.
Thursday, July 15 is clean up and pay out.
