The Rock Hills High School boys basketball team downed the Red Cloud Warriors, 44-31, at Mankato Thursday at Mankato. The Natoma Tigers handed the Grizzlies a 58-48 loss at Mankato Monday. Rock Hills visited Sylvan-Lucas Tuesday with game results unavailable at press time.
The Grizzlies opened up a 26-16 lead at the half way mark. They kept Red Cloud at bay for a 44-31 win, their fourth of the season.
Rock Hills allowed the Natoma game to slip away. The Grizzlies and Natoma were tied 21 all at the half. Rock Hills opened up a 38-32 lead after the third quarter concluded. Then the fourth quarter was played. Natoma went on a 26 point scoring spree while the Grizzlies managed only ten. The 58-48 loss evened the Grizzlies record at 4-4 for the season.
Davion McDonald exploded for 24 points against Red Cloud to lead the Grizzlies scoring. Jerrod Gillett accounted for 10 points. Mason Higer hit for seven points.
Gillett put through 18 points to lead Rock Hills against Natoma. Higer loaded up with 11 points. McDonald added nine points. Caden Slate scored six points. Tristyn Brown came through with two points.
Lakeside visits Mankato Friday. This will be the Parents Night game. The Tescott Tigers come to Mankato for a game Monday. The Grizzlies travel to Natoma for a game Tuesday.
